Visit from the tooth fairy

My little girl is growing up more everyday. I gave Paige a pkg of fruit snacks, and like me, she opened it with her teeth. I heard yelling and she was screaming, "MY TOOTH CAME OUT, MY TOOTH CAME OUT!!" It's been like 2 months since it started to wiggle so we all were pretty excited. The tooth fairy came and left her a whole dollar (inflation from the 25 cents that i got). She is one happy kid today.

Miracle for Christmas

So on December 22nd I had to take the baby to get his echo. Well of course it started snowing hard 15 minutes before we had to leave. Well, I packed up 4 kids into the avalanche and away we went. I slid off the road getting onto the freeway, but lucky 4 wheel drive got us on to the freeway. I went like 40 MPH because there was about 2 inches on the road at the time. I wound up dropping the kids off late to Susan's and decided to call John to make sure he got to Cedar OK and that he traveled safe down south. Well he answered right away and I heard sloshing in the background. I asked him where he was and he said "you don't want to know." I asked if he slid off the road and he said yes and I told him about me sliding off too. Later on in the conversation he said I needed to come get him from Cedar and I said, "Wow you really got stuck, huh?" He replied "Yeah after the truck flipped 3 times it would do that!" I FREAKED!!! I said "YOU FLIPPED THE TRUCK!!!! ARE YOU OK????!!" He said the cop looked him over and he looked fine, but he had a really bad headache and a big bump on his head. Now mind you I work at the hospital and see all the bad things that happen, plus I have added hormones from having a baby not 1 week prior. So, I freaked out even more. I yelled at him for not taking the ambulance to get looked at and I was going to cancel the appointment for the baby and go get him. He said he was fine and to take the baby in and then he will let me know what I needed to do. So during the already stressful echo of my baby's heart I was thinking about how I could have lost my husband that very morning. so I was crying through the whole procedure. When the appt. was done John called and said that he was in the wrecker coming to ST George. I went and saw his truck and started crying all over again. The front was smushed in and the drivers roof was caved in and the truck was totalled. As soon as I saw John I gave him a hug and he yelped because his neck hurt. I was like OH GOD, He's got a neck injury. We took him to workmed where they said he just had really bad whip lash and to watch for signs of concussion. I was not convinced he was OK, but that's all they would do for us. But he was fine and he is still recovering. You all are probably wondering how he got into the accident. Well, he was driving on the snowy I-15 and an SUV did an illegel U turn right in front of him. He switched lanes and then the Suv cut him off again and swerved into the emergancy lane. So John had to change lanes again and it hydroplaned him into a dirt median, across oncoming traffic, and stopped a foot shy of oncoming traffic. Like the title says it was our miracle for Christmas. I just marval at the fact that he is still here and I am not a widow. Because looking at the truck and hearing about the crash makes me think there was some other force watching over us that day.

A huge THANK YOU

I want to thank every one who helped John and I while I recovered from having John Wyatt. Thank you Anna, Sarah, Tara, and another lady ( think her name was Susan) from relief society for bringing us meals! They were all so yummy!
I want to send a real special thank-you to Susan, Glenda, Shelly, and Daniel R. for coming and cleaning for us. It helped so much and I cannot express how grateful I am to them.

The big 2-8!!

Yes everyone I have gotten another year older (bummer!!). I am 28 now. I had a great birthday. I got what I wanted, that baby out of me and in my arms!! John went to the store and got a cake mix and came home and made me a cake with the kids. It was German choc with coconut frosting. It was really good. I look like dookey, but hey I just pushed an eight and a half pound baby out! Some goals for my 29th year are:
~Lose my baby weight and more if I can, but we'll start with the baby weight.
~Get organized!! I am sick of living like a SLOB!! Yes I will admit it, we are slobs!! but I WILL remedy this now that I can bend over ;)
~start doing schooling with Katie, I feel like such a horrible mother that she barely knows her shapes and colors and a few ABC's
~Get active, I feel like a bump on a log all the time. I feel bad my 5 yr old spouts off commercials when she sees a product in the store. She even sings the catchy tunes to commercials. I have to stop this also.
There are more and I will add to these when I can.

Joey is 2!!

OK, so I still cannot believe my big guy is 2. Some new things he loves to do: play catch, run away from his sisters, bite Katie (UGH!!), color (his #1 thing to do), play with cars, and play dress up with the girls. He copies everything I say to him with clarity, but doesn't talk like I feel he should. But he is a boy and pointing and grunting works for him, LOL. He has taken on the role of big brother like a champ. He loves J.W. and want to hold him all the time. Having the new baby has made him get closer to John. He no longer comes to me when he gets hurt or wants to snuggle. Which is sad, but also nice since I have the baby 24/7. I love seeing this little boy grow each day and see what a difference a Y chromosome makes ('cuz it's HUGE). HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BOY!!

More of JW

Here's our little guy all cleaned up. I was supposed to take him to the doctor today for his 2 wk but they rescheduled for next week. He has a heart murmur, so they made us get an echo of his heart. They found a narrowing of his pulmonary artery. We need to see a cardiologist, but they said that they will probably just follow it along to see how it does. Oh and to try not to worry (RIGHT!). But other than that he is doing great.
