Joey James
Katherine
My little girl or "Pokey" as we call her is just that. She is Pokey. Everything she does, she takes her time. She is just not interested in learning her ABC's. I have been working with her and she still only knows 11 out of the 26 letters. I have to admit though she does write them a lot better than Paige ever did at her age. She has a lisp that we have been working on also, but she gets bored easily. I hope she grows out of this because she is so smart, she just doesn't have the motivation. I made chore charts and had rewards set up for if they got so may X'd off. Do you think she did it? NO. And when Paige got hers Katie was upset. So I thought, "tonight she will surely do her chores." Did she? NO. She has been my most difficult child. She still is getting in to everything when I am not in the room. To make matters worse she is bigger now and can reach more things. She has taught Joey so many of her bad habits that any time I leave them in a room they get into everything. I love her to pieces, but I hope she grows out of this soon.
3 months
OK so I am sad to announce on Sunday my little boy will no longer be a newborn. So I have to say goodbye to that stage forever. I love that John Wyatt was my last. He is such a great baby. He already sleeps through the night. He only cries when he wants some attention or when he's hungry and even then he just fusses. I am so lucky to have him and love him dearly.
cute critters
An OSO special brithday
WOW I cannot believe my little girl is 6!! Some things she can do now:
Fold and put away her laundry
clean with mom and dad
read on a level C (1st grade level)
Write sentences
make up her own songs
calls her best friend to have play dates
just started a neighborhood dance class
Every day she amazes me. She loves school and says that it's her favorite part of the day every day. She especially loves the bus. She gets up super early to go on the "Early bus." I used to load everyone up in the car and take her to the last stop, but she likes walking to Samie's to get on the first stop.
I hope this year to get her into Girl Scouts. They do not have a daisy troop out here so I am going to ask the ladies selling cookies where I can get her in. I loved Girl Scouts when I was a kid and Paige would be great.
Also I am trying to implement chores around here, but am struggling with the consistency issues. She is a very driven little girl. It does not take much to get her motivated.
Thanks to everyone who came to Paige's Oso birthday party. She had so much fun with ring around the digi-medals, decorating goodie bags, and making personal pizzas. It was a lot of work but worth it. Thanks to Christine for making such a Super cake and helping out during the party. (thanks to Mark too)
After her Oso party we had a Pectol family party for our fabulous February week of birthday's
Happy Birthday Christine, Paige, Matt, Bekah, and Harvey!!
Thumb sucker
