New Beds For Two

So I finally did it. I got a toddler bed for Katie and put Joey in his crib. I put him in there for the first time and he was smiling up a storm at the little bear and airplane that are on the side. Every time the picture snapped he wasn't smiling, oh well. He also is so in love with the mobile. He gets really upset when it stops. He starts his angry huffing and kicks his legs. He is growing up so fast, I can't believe he's almost 2 months old. But on the other hand, I can't wait for him to pick up toys and play with them.

Imagination Central

Paige's imagination is nonstop these last couple of months. It amazes me some of the things she comes up with. Here are her latest. So I was doing my makeup the other day and Paige said she needed to go potty. So I told her to go and she does. She was taking a while, so I looked at her and found her reading the comics on the newspaper. She says, "I am taking a long time like Daddy so I need to read the paper." LOL! I couldn't stop laughing. Then she has this semi-new thing where she is a puppy. We must address her by Puppy or whe will not answer us. Funny kid. This picture is her playing fetch with John. Katie actually joined in as well, but I think she was more of a snake slithering on the ground.

You're Trapped!!

Paige is in this trapping phase. She likes to trap anything into anything. So here she is trapping her sister in the laundry basket. She then proceeds to sit there and laugh an evil laugh. Katie, finding this funny, does the same thing to Paige. Then, Paige likes to reenact movies. Her latest two are Peter Pan and Wizard of Oz. Well she told John to be Captain Hook and trap her in the cage and Katie, aka Wendy, needed to save her. It was such a fun moment I had to snap a picture.

Let's Paint

At bathtime I mixed some soap and food coloring together and let the girls "paint." Well Paige got the bright idea that she would do the same. So she got it all over herself. When I walked in she was frantically trying to wash it off, but couldn't. She was so upset over it that she couldn't stop crying. I felt bad for her and tried to help clean it off. Food coloring does not come off very easily. Afterward John and I had a good laugh about it.

Smiley Guy!

This month has been very monumental for Joey. He learned to smile!!!! I was changing him one morning and as I said "Good Morning, Buddy" he looked at me and smiled. My heart melted. He had been trying for probably 2 weeks only managing to get one side to smile, when all of the sudden he gets it :) I am so proud:) Also, he is rolling over already, can you believe it? 6 weeks old and already rolling onto his back when he's on his tummy. What a smart little man. He is going to be like Paige and walk at 7 1/2 months too I bet.

Pretty Princesses

Here are the two most beautiful princesses I have ever seen! They are so cute all dressed up. Paige got the Jr. hat from Grandpa and wears it a lot. She likes to be like her daddy who wears a ball cap a lot.

John turns 27!

Wow we're getting old. I remember thinking when I was little that 30 was old and now we're almost there. John has always wanted a beard. I told him he could have one until my six week checkup. He started growing it at deer hunt in October and this is how he looks. I hate to say it, but he looks nice with a beard, but it does tickle a little.

Family Playtime

John has really taken on his role of becoming a Dad for the third time. He has started playing with the girls every night when he gets home. He has also started doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen EVERY night, helped me a ton with our fussy little boy, and has been a shoulder to cry on when my feelings are hurt or hormones just go wild.
Here we all are having fun upstairs. John is playing tea party with the girls and I am giving Joey some Mommy time. It just keeps getting funner as Joey gets less fussy. We all played Peter Pan tonight. Paige was Peter, Katie was Wendy, and John was Captain Hook according to Paige. John elected me to be the dog Nana, isn't he sweet?

I am realizing more and more that life is passing by at warp speed and I am too hard on the girls and I really do need to enjoy them more. My pregnancy really took a toll on my relationship with the girls. I was immobile for so long that I just got frustrated with them and they got frustrated with me. It is now getting a little easier and I wonder if I will ever be ready for our 4th, and final, child.

Look how big he's getting

Here's Joey One month old. He sure is a cutie :)

Our Wonderful Christmas

Paige got snow boots for Christmas and when I was getting her ready she wanted to wear them. So I let her and John said it reminded him of Napoleon Dynamite LOL. Katie was so excited she kept opening everyone's presents. She got told "NO" a lot that morning, but she was so cute doing it. We didn't get any pictures of Joey because he slept all morning. I just hope he doesn't think anything of it. Paige and Katie loved opening all of his gifts.

Katie also loved her mashed potatoes, she even spread them all over her head.

Parents-to-be

Christine and Mark are getting their practice in baby care. LOL! They both hold Joey whenever they come over to try to get used to the fact that in 3 weeks they will DEFINITELY have a brand new baby. I am just so excited for them. I can't wait.

Sorry Everyone

Ok so I am trying to get my camera to work again so bear with me. These last couple of weeks have been really hard. Joey developed a milk allergy like the girls did. So I tried avoiding everything under the sun to see if he would get better and nothing helped. So I switched to formula last night. He is already better and happier. He was sooo gassy, fussy, and he woul just scream in pain. I could hear his tummy just rumble and then he would scream. I felt so bad for him. I am really sad I could not nurse him, because it is such a special time between us. But in the end he will turn out perfect just like Paige did. Lots of love. Kep checking back I will eventually get my pics in (I Hope!)

Sorry Everyone

I am trying to get my Christmas pictures on, but my camera is on the fritz.....again. I also have had a hard couple of weeks. Joey developed a milk protein allergy just like the girls did. He didn't have a lot of bloody stools like the girls did, but he was sooo fussy and gassy. I tried eliminating all dairy in everything, but it didn't work. So last night I made the hard decision (not so hard when you want your screaming baby to feel better) to switch to formula. It broke my heart to have to quit nursing, but he is in a better mood today.
